ABOUT DEREK

Derek started his career in higher education the day after graduating from Elon University in North Carolina. Since then, his experience in higher ed has included positions in recruiting, admissions, and first-year experience.

He received a master's degree in Higher Education Administration from The University of North Carolina, Greensboro and after 14 years of eating in campus dining halls, Derek left on campus life.

Today, he helps colleges and universities understand the difference they can make by employing the right technology on their campuses.

Derek recently served as Chairman of Board of the Main Line Interfaith Hospitality Network, a non-profit organization providing temporary shelter to homeless families. He is pursuing ordination as a deacon in the Episcopal Church.

He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, three children, and two dogs.
